Dear Friends,

" These have been quiet days And was the last time I wanted to sing Last few dying days coming on What will they bring Even you and me we keep coming apart And it’s a wrong, wrong thing. "

These opening words to an old song by Heart ("Love Me Like Music") aptly describe where I’ve been and how I’ve been feeling since I wrote you last Autumn.

It has been a tumultuous time for me on many fronts: the recession has hit my business VERY hard, I ended a year long relationship just before Christmas and also just prior to Christmas we had an unusual snowfall, which resulted in ice in my driveway.

One morning I was coming home from the store and decided to leave the car in the street. As I walked up the driveway to the house, I slipped and fell on my bottom. I didn’t think a thing of it until 10 days later when the point of impact began to ache. So, I went to my GP, who ordered x-rays and found an "area of concern".

I have also just about sold my house, which is a good thing. I simply can’t afford to stay here and am under an onerous mortgage. We’re not quite totally there yet, so keep your fingers crossed for me please. Finances have been a huge concern, as they are for many of you as well. These are very tough times all around.

Have also been looking at getting back into teaching full-time, but this market, especially for a Theology/German teacher is terrible. I have launched a nationwide job search, but have turned up nothing thus far.

So, these are precarious times and I share them with all of you. However, it is times like these that we most need each other and in which we can exercise trust and patience in the Universe, who always takes care of us.

The "hawk" will fly again in the not too distant future and I look forward to getting to know some of you as time goes by.

Please make use of the "Ask Gavin A Question" link on this page. Your questions about spirituality, etc., keep me on my mettle!!

Also, if you’d care to email me with suggestions about topics for upcoming teleseminars or spiritual issues you’d like to see me address in an article or on this page, please don’t hesitate to do so. I have some exciting things planned for the future, but I need to rest and heal first, as well as get situated on where I’m going and what I’ll be doing.

Remember, I am here for YOU. Remember, I love you.

Gavin
